My Journey

A wise person once said that the best camera is the one you have with you.

15 years ago, I remember getting inspired to start shooting what I saw around me, even though the only camera I had at the time was an old Panasonic point-and-shoot. I was instantly hooked. There had been so much beauty around me the whole time and now my eyes were open to it. Since then I’ve acquired other tools that enable me to capture the way I see the world.

I first fell in love with photographing buildings, especially modern architecture, but when my now-wife Mandy sent me to Las Vegas for the first time, I visited the desert and that is when everything changed. Instead of just the bright lights of the city, I found myself drawn to the landscapes in the American southwest. Whenever possible I return to the desert. I am enamored by its other-worldly textures and alien like terrain.

In time, my photography has become far more than documenting the places I have been - I seek to capture the way I see the world and express what I feel in each moment. I appreciate you taking the time to check out my work and I hope that in my photographs you find moments that capture you.
